Different Strokes Challenge

San Francisco Victorian
8 x 10
Acrylic on Canvas
This is another of Karin Jurick's Different Strokes challenge pieces. I chose to crop the photo down to this small section because the entire house was overwhelming to me. One wrong angle and the whole building is leaning, off, etc... So I chose what I felt was the most interesting section of the reference photo and this is what I got. This was definitely a challenge and I guess thus, the name! I hope you like it!

Lovely work! I like the pastel colors and how you isolated just the turret.

I love the colors you used and sometimes a cropping is needed to bring us into a more comfortable area. Great job.

Thanks Michelle and Dominique! This was really difficult for me, as many have said. I have really enjoyed seeing what everyone is doing with this one!

Karen your painting is a lovely interpretation of the latest challenge.
Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. If you were in the neighborhood I would say "Come on over!".
