Day 11 - 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Cooper
8" x 8"
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
SOLD

This painting is a special one for me. This is my dear friends little dog and he is such a sweetie. I actually helped her pick him out as a puppy so this was a really fun one to do! I am also a little partial to Yorkies as my own Sophie is a Yorkie Poo. The hardest part about this painting was getting Cooper to stand still for the photograph!

Day 10 - 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Missy
10" x 8"
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas

Today's painting is actually a commission piece for a friend of mine. This is her sweet dog Missy that passed away and she wanted a painting done to give to her husband. Don't we all love our sweet furry babies! This was a joy to paint and I hope he will love it!

A Time for Sorrow and Loss

 In Memory of Brodie
18x18
Acrylic on Canvas
NFS
In Memory of Oliver
12x12
Acrylic on Canvas Framed
NFS

The last few weeks have been really rough. My sister and I both lost one of our special family members within just a couple of days of one another. Brodie and Oliver were both very big personalities in our homes and adjusting to life without them has been really difficult. Every time the door bell rings and no one barks or dinner time comes and there is an empty bowl, it brings tears to our eyes. So, needless to say it has been very therapeutic to paint portraits of these two sweet ones. We remember these sweet babies and their quirky personalities and their loyalty, devotion and loving spirits. Thank you for loving us so well!

The Latest from my Easel

Love One Another
10 x 8
Oil on Artist's Panel
$50

This is my most recent painting in my sheep theme. This time I tried backlighting them and I like the glow around them. It was a challenge but I enjoyed it. I am also using oils again after my latest workshop with Gayle Levee where we spent an entire weekend mixing colors in oil and I was absolutely amazed at some of the colors we could mix! It was so exciting! Below I have my most recent pet portrait of a little Havanese named Lucy! I hope you enjoy them and if you are interested in purchasing any of my work please send me an e-mail, Thanks!
